Grading Clarity Enhanced Diamonds

How do I grade/appraise clarity enhanced diamonds?

GIA says to clarity grade them as they would be without the clarity enhancement, but it seems next to impossible to know what that would be without removing the enhancement. After clarity grading, how do I price them? Currently I'm appraising them as (1) the value they would be without the clarity enhancement, plus (2) the cost of enhancing them. Is that a valid method?

In my opinion NO. They are altered and do not reflect the value as if they were not enhanced.

Just price them at current market value. The wholesalers of such things will be happy to give you their prices.
