The buyers are there. Whether they act on your listing usually comes down to a few unglamorous details.
Show the goods. Clear, well-lit photos on a neutral background do more selling than any description. For diamonds and gems, buyers want to see the stone; for finished pieces and watches, show wear, hallmarks, and any flaws honestly. A listing that hides the condition just invites a return.
Get the specs right. Complete, accurate details — carat, color, clarity, cut, lab and cert number, or box-and-papers status on a watch — let a buyer make a decision without a back-and-forth. Vague listings get skipped.
Price to the market. Check your ask against current benchmarks before you post. You don’t have to be the cheapest, but a price that’s wildly off the trade rate reads as “doesn’t know their inventory.”
Answer fast. In a live marketplace, the first credible reply often wins the deal. A quick, straight answer beats a perfect one that lands a day later.
Post what you’re missing, too. Wanted ads work both ways — telling the network what you’re hunting brings sellers to you and keeps you top-of-mind.
None of this is complicated. It’s just the difference between inventory that moves and inventory that sits.
